Nines continue to show up in my writing life: both the number itself, plus a few Tarot cards in particular—Nine of Swords, Nine of Cups, and the Hermit. Nines for me are about being in the midst of transformation and on the cusp of great change. It is an almost there kind of energy. The nines are about waking up and holding out hope. They are about moving step by step, illumination by illumination, toward deeply wished for realities.

I want to explore this energy further in a two-part series come 2025, but I can’t stop thinking about it. SO. I’ve decided to offer a preview and have all registration proceeds go to the Texas Freedom to Read Project, recommended to me by librarians I trust. Thank you, librarians!
