Fall Creative Commitment (FCC):
Creating in the Liminal
Back by popular demand, the fall edition of Creative Commitment is rooted in the rich themes of my favorite season—autumn. It’s a time of both creative surrender and crafting new work. It’s about experimenting at seasonal thresholds. It’s about exploring the mystical pathways that emerge when we take time to go inward and dream, when the empty branches expose a forest’s secrets, when the paths are clear, cool, and enlivening.
Praise for the Creative Commitment Series
I loved having the structure of the program, the homework and always something to look forward to. It also helped me in this particular moment to have something else to focus on other than the book that was coming out. That was truly a godsend. Thank you for creating such a safe and affirming and joyful space. ~Canan Yetmen, Novelist and CC Alum
The Creative Commitment helped me reinvigorate my WIP after a slow winter…Claire's unique frameworks for writing (whether setting intentions or diving deep into characters) always inspire energy and ideas. ~Anne Bingham, Memoirist and CC Alum
Creative Commitment gave me the inspiration and accountability that I desperately needed to get out of a bit of a writing slump. I’m excited to be working on a new project again! The other writers are always supportive and brilliant which makes the time fly and Claire has a way of drawing out some of my best work. Her prompts are always timely no matter what I’m working on and her leadership keeps the class energy high even though it’s virtual. ~Casey Bernard, Novelist and CC Alum
